Musically this feels more experimental for La Dispute reminding me of their Here, Hear releases. Very atmospheric and easy to lose your self in. Perfect for the next time you’re contemplating your existence. (Also found out the guitarist builds his own pedals and used them on this record; neato!)

I love everything La Dispute have done as they have grown and blossomed creatively around Jordan's gut-punch michigan-dickensian prose, but this FUCKIN SONG. future wars dude. there might be songs that are technically louder or faster or whatever unfitting metric of weighing art is in vogue this year, THIS IS THE HARDEST SONG ON THE PLANET. Really hard to pick a favourite song on this album, just an all around solid release. Can listen to this from front to back over and over and it never gets old.
